Built my first radio when I was 10. Finally became an amateur radio operator in 2003 and in 2010 upgraded to Extra Class.
I'm Usually on PSK31 daily @ 7.030.000 or 14.070.000
I found you can get this to work on the mac with CHIRP and prolific drivers. Use "/dev/cu.usbserial" and all should work fine. Running OS x 10.6.8
I also found that some hubs don't work with this cable.
I also use the Nagoya NA-701 female-sma antenna has better gain and very flexible. I bought mine from ebay for about $7.50 shipped.
